The Affordable Connectivity Program is an FCC benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price. The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household. CISA to Launch New Cybersecurity Awareness Program and First Ever Public Service Awareness Campaign. September 25, 2023 September 26, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will launch a new nationwide cybersecurity program to educate all Americans on how to stay secure online. The new cybersecurity awareness program will also include the launch of the agency’s first-ever Public Service Announcement (PSA) that will air nationwide. The PSA is focused on encouraging all Americans across the cyber ecosystem, from individuals and families to small and medium size businesses and everyone in between, to roll up their sleeves and be a part of our national cyber defense by adopting essential cybersecurity habits. The PSA will premiere at a launch event in Washington, DC with industry and thought leaders, and include remarks by CISA Director Jen Easterly.
