Dear RMS Families,
I hope this message finds you well. We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the student-managed Chromebooks. Starting this week, internet access on all managed student Chromebooks will be disabled each night from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to support student well-being and enhance academic performance.
Key benefits of this new policy include:
Promotes healthier sleep habits: By limiting internet access at night, we encourage students to develop better sleep routines, which are essential for their focus and cognitive function during the school day.
Reduces late-night distractions: This policy will help prevent students from engaging in activities such as social media, online games, or web browsing late at night on their assigned Chromebooks, allowing them to rest and prepare for the next day.
Encourages better time management: Knowing that internet access will be limited during these hours will help students manage their time more effectively, completing their assignments earlier in the evening.
Improves classroom readiness: A good night’s sleep contributes to increased attentiveness and participation in class, thereby enhancing overall learning and academic success.
Please note that this policy was implemented recently, and we are extending the deadline for any homework assignments due today 09/06 to ensure students have adequate time to complete their work.
We appreciate your support and cooperation in reinforcing the importance of these adjustments with your children. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
Thank you for your continued support in helping our students succeed.
