COUNTY SUPERINTENDENT TO SELECT FINALISTS: Roger Jinks, the Executive County Superintendent of Schools will be selecting the finalists. Interested candidates need to send a resume and a completed application (see attached) to the South Bound Brook Board Office by 3pm, Friday, October 27, 2023.
The South Bound Brook Board of Education seeks qualified candidates to fill the following seats as a member of the Board:
One unexpired seat, partial-term, from the date of appointment through 12/31/2023
Those individuals interested in being considered for the position must meet all of the following qualifications:
1. Must be a citizen of the United States.
2. Must hold citizenship and residency in South Bound Brook for at least one year.
3. Must be able to read and write.
4. Must be registered to vote in South Bound Brook and not disqualified as a voter pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:4-1.
5. Cannot concurrently hold office as a member of the governing body of the Borough of South Bound Brook.
6. Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against the South Bound Brook Board of Education.
7. Must not be disqualified from membership for the conviction of crimes pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:12-1*
The South Bound Brook Board of Education reserves the right to appoint a qualified person to fill the above referenced vacancies at a time the Board deems appropriate. It should be further noted that the Board of Education may disqualify any person not satisfying the legal requirements to become a Member of the Board of Education in the State of New Jersey, and may elect to disqualify any potential candidate that does not specifically follow all directions as listed above. Candidates may be interviewed by the Board of Education.
Those interested in being considered for one of the vacancies must submit a resume, letter of intent and a completed application (see attached). In addition, interested candidates should disclose any conflicts that may exist specifically, but not limited to, family members working within the school district.
